Dr. Amanda Lemoine Alleyn
Amanda Lemoine Alleyn is a native of Avoyelles Parish. She attended Louisiana State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and then continued her education at LSU School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree. She remained in New Orleans to complete residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology where she also served as Chief Resident. She now practices at Lafayette General Medical Center and lives in Lafayette with her husband, Ed, and son, William.
Laura Woods was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. She graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2014 and has been working as a RN since then. She is currently back at ULL for her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Laura is the proud mom of angel Nora Katherine and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of rainbow baby, Jude Robert in April 2017. Laura enjoys spending time with her four sisters, taking advantage of all that Lafayette has to offer!
Lauren Bercier resides in Carencro, LA with her husband Collin and two young boys, Cohen and Lawson. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and a certification in elementary education. Lauren is co-founder of Something Borrowed Blooms, an innovative startup modernizing the wedding flower industry. She manages the day to day operations and oversees development of Something Borrowed Blooms from its central office in Lafayette.
David was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and received aBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisiana in 1999. He moved to Plano, TX in 2000 and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. David is the Broker/Owner of Legacy Mark Realty in Plano, TX. He has a wonderful wife, Jennifer and 2 beautiful daughters, Mia and Lila. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music and running. David is also the Godfather of Madeline Noelle McGrew.
Aundria Cannon resides in Lafayette, La with her husband Marty and their three sons. She is a graduate of the UL Lafayette College of Nursing class of 1998. Aundria has worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse for most of her nursing career. Most of that career has been at Lafayette General Medical Center. She was the Supervisor of Labor and Delivery and has also taught several of the Childbirth classes and served as the Bereavement Coordinator for Women’s Services at LGMC. Aundria was honored to be a part of Travis and Lori’s labor and delivery experience when they delivered Madeline. Aundria is currently working in the office of Dr. Daniel Bourque, Jennifer Pugliese and Nicole Harper, OBGYN. She is pursuing her Master’s Degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
With more than two decades of experience as a licensed Louisiana funeral director, Mike has helped many families cope with the loss of a loved one. He graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Science in Houston Texas in 1988. He began his career in 1988 working as a funeral director and began managing in 2000. Mike is presently managing Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette Louisiana since 2007. His experience in the funeral industry is extensive; and has held numerous offices with the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association. He is the past president of the Southwest Louisiana Funeral Directors Association and has been on many committees since his presidency. He has held the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner designation. Mike also owns an Allstate insurance agency since 2005. His agency has been recognized as a premier service agency and has won Honor Ring numerous times and the Presidents Award.
Fallon was born and raised in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She began working at Lafayette General as a secretary and tech in Labor and Delivery in 2006 while she was pursuing her nursing degree at ULL. She graduated in 2009 from ULL with a Bachelor’s in Nursing and transitioned into the role of a nurse in Labor and Delivery where she is still currently employed. Fallon is a RTS Certified Bereavement Coordinator and is the Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator at LGMC. Fallon authored a manuscript entitled “Braxton’s Story: The Power of Presence” which will be published in the Journal of Nursing for Women’s Health in April 2016. This manuscript details perinatal bereavement care from a nurse’s perspective. Having an undeniable passion for obstetrics and women’s health, she is planning on attending grad school within the next few months to obtain her Nurse Practitioner’s license. Fallon is married to Logan and has a son named Payton. She adores spending time with her family.
Mandie Harrington (Secretary)
Mandie Pierce Harrington was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana and has resided in Lafayette for more than 10 years. She is a 2010 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Public Relations and is the Marketing and Customer Experience Manager at Audi Lafayette. Mandie is married to Trent Harrington and together they have one child, Harper Elizabeth. Mandie is also a stepmom to Talon and Aubrey. In her spare time, Mandie enjoys traveling, monogramming and playing dress up with her daughter, Harper!
A native of Lafayette, Emily Hunter received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at ULL and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work at LSU in 2005. For the last six years, Emily has worked in the field of Healthcare Marketing. She is currently the Chief Marketing Development Officer for Compass Health, a psychiatric healthcare company based out of Crowley. Emily is has two daughters, Grace and Vivian, and is married to Wes Hunter.
David Kaplan was born and raised in Alexandria, LA. He graduated from Louisiana State University-Alexandria, obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he moved to Lafayette, LA to work for Lamar Advertising as an Account Executive and has been working with them for the past 5 years. David has a wealth of knowledge in both marketing and advertising. David is married to Aysha and is the father of their angel baby, Matthew Alan Kaplan. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family & friends, hunting, and fishing.
Lori McGrew (Chairman and Co-Founder)
Lori McGrew was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2002. Lori is a Realtor at Keaty Real Estate and is the co-founder of Maddie’s Footprints. Lori is married to Travis and is the mother of Madeline “Maddie”, Noelle and Avery Anne.
Travis McGrew (Co-Founder)
Travis McGrew was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. Travis has an Associate’s Degree in Network Administrating and is currently a Service Advisor for Service Chevrolet. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom ’04 and ’05. Travis is the father of Madeline Noelle McGrew and co-founder of Maddie’s Footprints. He is also the proud father of Noelle Elizabeth and Avery Anne.
Annie Oge’ Landry was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She received a Bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2003. She currently works for Acadian Land Services, LLC. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Brent, and daughter, Camille. Annie is the godmother of Madeline Noelle.
Frank Slavich (Vice-Chairman)
Frank S. Slavich, III, was born and raised in Chalmette, Louisiana. He moved to Lafayette in 2000 after graduating from LSU Law School. He is married to Laura St.Pierre-Slavich, and they have one daughter. Frank is a founding member of the law firm of Babineaux, Poche’, Anthony & Slavich, L.L.C. His practice focuses primarily on corporate formation and advice, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and lending law. He serves on various local charitable and civic organization boards and committees.
Matthew Thibodeaux, a native of Lafayette, graduated from Westminster Christian Academy and Louisiana State University. He is the owner of the Matthew Aaron Agency; a digital marketing agency based in Downtown Lafayette, LA. He enjoys everything that Lafayette and South Louisiana has to offer. He is an avid soccer player and is the founder of Hub City Futbol Club.
Amber Trett (Treasurer)
Amber was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2003. She also earned her Master of Business Administration degree in 2006 from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2007, she became a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She has worked for Schumacher Group for the past nine years. Amber is married and has a one year old son named Tanner. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and likes to relax with a good book.
Hailey L. Verrett was born and raised in the small town of Bayou Chicot, Louisiana. After completing high school, Hailey moved to Lafayette where she graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child an Family Studies. Shorty after, Hailey moved to Baton Rouge where she graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Social Work Program in May 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Level Certification in Gerontology. Hailey now resides in the Lafayette area and is married to her high school sweetheart, Jared Verrett. She is currently employed as a Licensed Master Social Worker practicing medical social work at a local Lafayette hospital. At work, Hailey is a member of her hospital’s Compassionate Care Coalition, Hematology/Oncology Committee, and her hospital’s pediatric non-profit organization called Kites Above Acadiana. Hailey is a RTS Certified Bereavement Coordinator and joined the Maddie’s Footprints Board of Directors in February 2015.
